Match the tape and driver

The supply output must match the actual tape's required voltage and current type, with sufficient capacity for the specified load and installation conditions. Do not treat the mains input rating of a separate driver as the tape's own operating voltage.

The listing identifies 4000K tape. Confirm the required output, watts per metre, reel length, maximum run, cut points, width and control compatibility against the actual model's instructions. The legacy “960Lm” title is not a measurement of the light from the complete installed reel.

Check the actual IP rating and environment suitability for the tape, joints, connections and driver separately. A profile or diffuser does not automatically make the assembly water-resistant. Installation, cutting, connections and supply selection must follow the applicable manufacturer instructions and competent electrical design.
